We are committed to maintaining a safe and inclusive environment.
At PGH Casineros, we are happy to teach and dance with anyone regardless of background or experience. In order to create a space in which everyone feels safe and welcome, we request that the following standards are upheld at our classes and socials:
Our community welcomes people of all backgrounds, identities, abilities, and experience levels. Harassment, discrimination, hateful language, intimidation, threats, and retaliation are not tolerated, regardless of anyone’s role, intentions, or history within the community.
Respect consent and personal boundaries
Agreeing to dance is consent only to that dance, not to closer contact, inappropriate touch, comments, or interaction afterward. Consent may be withdrawn at any time, for any reason, and without explanation. Pay attention to verbal and nonverbal discomfort, and check in when unsure.
Look out for one another
If you experience or witness pressure, harassment, unsafe conduct, boundary violations or simply have a concern, please speak with any organizer you trust. Concerns and reports will be handled as discreetly as possible. Accountability is an ongoing, cooperative effort and we appreciate you playing your part.
